Well, it's five days into the new year, how're the resolutions coming? Mine have mostly gone to shat. I never really take new year's resolutions very seriously but this year I did, I made a list and everything. My most important resolution this year is to take care of myself in 4 different areas: body, heart, mind, and soul (part of the whole "learn to love yourself" thing). So far, I've made a lot of great plans but have yet to follow through on any. I'm learning that because change is so flipping hard (as mentioned in my "I guess I'm not perfect" post) I cannot do it without Jesus. I need to pray every morning for His supernatural strength to help me change. My devotional this morning ("New Day, New You" Joyce Meyer) mentioned Philippians 1:6, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Jesus is always working in us!! So even though all I've got are plans right now, it is okay because Jesus is still working in me. He is not finished and I am soo thankful. What we see now is not the finished product. The Creator is still creating, don't loose hope. This is such a wonderful way to live! We screw up, we break, we hurt but it's okay because that is not the end. This hope means that we can still dream for our futures. When we invite Jesus into our dreams for our life we are unstoppable! Seriously. Keep praying for your dreams, for your "resolutions." Do Not Give Up. Jesus is not done with you, there is still hope.
Jesus, I pray that you would infuse our dreams. That you would make us unstoppable forces. Give us strength to fight for our dreams and thank you for never giving up on us.
